My Next Addiction

It's time to get hooked on a new reality TV show. Anything can happen with a group of poeple that live by their own set of rules and usually break them.
Unlike Survivor, the million dollars is awarded in gold coin treasure and the first week $40,000 is the first of it to be found.
Pirate Master begins on Thursday night. Contestants will proudly announce their motives and integrity is not a part of the pirate game. At first I wasn't sure it was anything I would like, but I've since done my research and I've decided it could be more fun than.....naaa I'm not even going to say it; Survivor will always be my favorite.

Anyway, if you haven't had a chance to check out the cast, you should. Louie is somewhat of a "Reuben" look alike from Survivor and I think he could become a favorite. We'll just have to see. I'm setting the VCR and well, Renee you're getting taped episodes of "Pirate Master" beginning on Thursday nite!!!!!!

See.... I'm getting you hooked already!!!!!

Finale Fever

So, it isn't everyday that a bachelor is dancing with a star on an island with an American idol, but this month that's exactly what we have all been doing as we watch our favorite finale(s).

I watched all of Survivor and I couldn't be happier for Earl - while he wasn't my first choice, he was my second. So, all together good season.
I managed to get all of the finale's taped this year, didn't miss a minute of them. Dancing with the Stars this season was most excellent. My favorite couple won!!! Hooray.

For you Idol fans, I threw a picture of Jordan in the mix. I only watched one episode this season and Jordon was my pick.
Now, let's talk Bachelor - I really wasn't sure the man was going to do the right thing, but he picked my favorite girl, Tessa. I'm telling you, a season of finales that couldn't have been better.

Isn't that Apolo Anton Ohno so cute. Couldn't help posting this picture of him.

Happy Memorial Weekend to you all - Safe travels for those that will be on the road and happy barbecuing to those staying home to enjoy the weekend!!!!

I'm sure many of you have attended an entire weekend of scrapping (hint - I know this because I have scrapped with most of you). Anyway, it always amazes me how much I think I might get done, how little I actually get done and all the while I come back feeling relaxed and ready to join the routine part of my life again.

AND THE WINNER IS.....

OK, another season of Survivor has come to an end. I have to say I'm a little bit sad. This season had some real game players and while the outcome of the game was not what I had hoped for, I'm not disappointed. What a great season. Can't tell you who won, as it might upset someone who has not yet watched the finale.

I'm hoping all of you Mother's enjoyed your day or at least part of it. Happy Mother's Day to you all.

Honey, how sweet it is!

How many of you like honey?

I'm not that fond of it. But growing up, we always had honey because there is an apiary right there in our little corner of the world. The owners always gave us honey because they use a portion of my Mom and Dad's land for their beehives.

Anyway, I brought a bucket of honey for Renee and little did I know how much she was enjoying it until one day when she told me she was just about out. I can't imagine! A bucket of honey would last me a lifetime.

Ronda got a taste of it and she said it reminded her of the honey she used to have and we determined that was because of the alfalfa fields that surround the area.

So here's to my friends! May you enjoy your bucket of honey, as my sister has mailed a bucket just for the two of you.

The Wreath

Many of you have commented on the Christmas holiday wreath that has been on the front of my door since the first week in December. I couldn't throw it away, it still looked good and made for great conversation when people came over for a visit. So, when my sister came to visit the week before Easter, she decided something had to be done. So, during our only trip to Wal -mart while she was here, she managed to sneak in a couple of cans of spray paint and I didn't know what she was up to until I caught her outside with my Christmas wreath.

Now, I know some of you think I'm picky, but notice the newspaper on the lawn as to avoid getting paint on the grass. Please, the lawn needed mowing anyway, why worry about it? Gotta love her and I do.

All of her hard work was displayed for the month of April. But today it was time for the wreath to go. It had seen a better day and once she spray painted it pink, I
really wasn't sorry to let it go.

Until next December, my front door will remain without a wreath!

Encouragement

So, I'm sure all of us at one time or another have set a goal. I
know my friend Ronda is going to achieve one of her goals this coming
weekend and having Stacy there to help her will probably be all the
encouragement she needs.

I have set a weight loss goal. My Mom and Dad's 50th
wedding anniversary is August 3, 2007 and that's the date (not too far
away at this point). Each morning I get up and remind myself of my
goal. I go over the steps I need to take to accomplish my goal and then
I set out to make the right choices. I don't always succeed everyday
(I'm sure that's an obvious one), but I just keep reminding myself that
one day doesn't mean the challenge is over.

So, if you have set
a goal, any goal, I hope that you achieve it and I want to give all of
you encouragement to keep up the good work.

Here's a little quote of encouragement for all of you.

“You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins.”
