Thanksgiving Day

I know it's been a long time since I've posted on my blog. Facebook has replaced a lot of my blogging time. I'm not sure that's a good thing, so I thought I would try to get back into the swing of blogging. Yesterday was quiet, but I enjoyed the day a great deal. I cooked a turkey breast and as the smell filled my home so did the memories of past Thanksgivings.

Mom, Dad, Deanna and Terry called just as they sat down for dinner. It was nice to know that tradition carried on regardless of how many of us could make it home. I completed my day with a little scrapbooking and I took in a movie called "Blind Side". The movie was very good and was based on a true story. I recommend seeing it.

This morning I went to JCPenney's at 6:00 am - NOT A TRADITION, nor will it become one. I had some shopping left to do, however and the sales were too good to pass up. I was only there for an hour and I have to say it wasn't that bad. The checkout lines were relatively short and it was still early enough either people weren't quite awake or they just weren't tired enough to be grumpy. Either way, it was enjoyable.

I hope everyone else had a good Thanksgiving with lots of family and/or friends surrounding them. We are officially into the Christmas season, one of my favorite holidays.
