DISGUSTED!

OK, I just need to take a little minute of your time to tell you how disgusted I am about something so trivial.

This morning I decided to go through downtown Pendleton on my way to work, rather than hitting the Interstate (first mistake). On my way I pulled into Dave's. The parking lot was busy so I was going slow as I drove between the parked cars and the gas pumps. Just as I get to the other end and was going to make a left turn to get into the drive-thru line, I see a little yellow pickup coming like a "bat out of you know what" from the right. I stopped, thinking they were trying to beat me to the drive-thru and I was perfectly happy letting them go ahead of me. Instead, this person (guessing high school age) pulls up just a little past me and yells right at me a profanity that I wouldn't repeat if a truck was dropped on my toe and then drives off.

I guess my disgust is actually more like amazement. How does someone that young get so ticked off that early in the morning at such a trivial little matter. I might (and I say that with hesitation) excuse the behavior if our vehicles had just missed each other by a few inches, but that's not even the case.

I guess I just want to state my concern I have for a person that is so angry. He's going to have one long miserable life if that's the attitude he chooses over the little stuff.

More Pictures of SPIKE!!!

It's pretty hard to compete with the cuteness of a puppy, but then you remember all the cute little things they do and you begin to appreciate that mature dog that is the center of your universe.

Deanna caught this shot just as Spike was taking off with the broom, he almost got away with it. He's all puppy!! When talking to Mom on the phone yesterday Spike decided that he should own a pair of slippers. It reminded me of the time that Buddy decided to own a pair of purple flip flops that belonged to my sister, oops!

Spike hasn't quite figured out what he's supposed to do with the cats, so for now he follows them around and every once in a while tries to scare them..... personally I think they scare him right now.

Here's Spike doing his frog imitation.

Spike, puppy extraordinaire

Mom and Spike walked over to one of the alfalfa fields to get the pickup. Having legs that are only 3 inches long makes a puppy kinda tired.

Move Over Buddy........

Well, my Mom and Dad got a new puppy, his name is SPIKE! Buddy and I will be going to Montana to meet him next month. It will be interesting to see if Buddy tolerates a new puppy. As usual, Buddy will rule "the house", or at least we think so. He's pretty cute from what I can see in the picture.

Only because I wasn't trying!

Just as he finished his dog treats, I thought I'd zoom in and get a closeup shot.... Out comes the tongue.

Spoiled? Not my dog!

Auntie Gwen found a sale at D & B today, sooooooo guess who got two new toys. I had to work for this picture, but he stayed still until I could get the shot. He had a toy similar to this one that he would balance for as long as I would leave him there. It was always funny to see him sit there for 5 minutes, or more if I got busy doing something.
