A little tip from Maxine

So I received an email today from a friend and it was a picture of "Maxine" and the underneath it read:

Be careful when exercising. Your belly button could unscrew and your butt will fall off. Really, have I ever lied to you?

Just thought I'd share some of my funnies with you today. Happy Friday everyone.

Monday, Monday

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I know Buddy and I did. Buddy spent Saturday with Aunt Gwen and they drove up to Indian Lake for the day. I'll share those pictures with you later, but for now here's this morning's picture of a very lazy dog.

Raspberries by Default

So, I was out in my yard and noticed that the neighbor's raspberry bush was growing through the fence and then when I got to looking a little closer I noticed I actually had three ripe berries, which I promptly picked and ate. YUM YUM.
Today, before I took these pictures, I had 10 more raspberries. I can't show you my crop because I ate them too. Just as good as the first three.

I'm going to take extra special care of my RASPBERRY BRANCHES. I've made sure they are up off the ground and well I'm not sure what else I should do - I don't have ownership of the actual bush, so watering is not my department. Oh well, I'll enjoy them while they last.

In a month or so I'll be getting ripe apricots from the my other neighbor's tree. The branches hang over their fence and the ripe fruit drops in my back yard.

THIS GARDENING BY DEFAULT IS THE WAY TO GO!!!!!!!

Morning Routine

So, most everyone has a morning routine, even my dog. He likes to get up, eat breakfast, go outside and scope out all of the yard. When he comes in he plants himself on the sofa facing the bathroom and bedroom door. He waits for me to get ready for work and then as soon as he sees me carrying my shoes or putting my shoes on he jumps down and runs to the door, after all he's a working dog.

I took this picture one morning as he was very sleepy and couldn't quite get going that morning. I thought it was cute with his two front paws propped up on the arm of the sofa.

Chewing Gum

So, a friend of mine asked me if I had a piece of gum they could have and that got me to thinkin' (I know - scary!)

I like gum. I even like to buy gum. Especially when the package reads "NEW or NEW and IMPROVED or more flavor, lasts longer". Any of those advertising gimmicks work on me when it comes to gum. Then I get home, I throw the gum in my "junk" drawer and forget that I have it. I never have gum when I want it.

Regardless of what you might think, gum doesn't last forever. For example, when it gets stuck in a drawer and forgotten about it has a tendency to harden - what's that all about.

So, anyway I was thinking about all of you - where do you stand on the whole chewing gum topic? Just for fun tell me what is your favorite kind of gum? Are you one of those people that chew gum everyday? Or maybe you don't chew gum at all. I'm looking forward to the posts. I sure some of you have some very funny habits when it comes to chewing gum.

Happy Friday Everyone.

Tough Days

I bet we can all think back, for some probably not that far back, and remember days that we would chalk up as tough days. Tough days include days you definitely don't count as your favorite, you remember them only because they had a significant impact or you ended up learning something about yourself through the process and repeating them just isn't in the realm of possibilities.

Tough days make us stronger, they let us learn stuff about ourselves and even though they are the worst at that moment, we can usually reflect back and say, "Wow made it through that one!"

Lots of you are winding up a school year. Lots to do before summer hits and then before you know it you'll be starting up a new school year. That is somewhat similar to my starting a new fiscal year. These last few months of the year are always stressful and then July 1st hits and I'm ready to start all over again. OK, well maybe it's not that simple, but I'd like it to be.

Have a great week.
