Pirate Dog!

Happy Halloween Everyone. I weighed in last night. I lost 2.2 pounds, now if I manage to keep my fingers out of the candy bowl I'll have a good start to a new week. Happy trick or treating to you all. Looks like it's going to be a nice day/night for the little ones.

Buddy is less than happy with me. He's already ditched the hat, but seems OK with the rest of his outfit.

66 days.......

Just a quick little post to let you know that I hunted up a weight watchers meeting last week while in Montana. I lost 1.8 pounds. Yesterday I weighed in and knocked another 3.4 pounds off. Slowly, but surely...... Hope everyone else is doing well. Our toughest months are ahead with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas closely approaching.

The munchkins

We had so much fun together. I loved spending time with each of them. Dakotah just liked to sit and visit all about high school, she's a Freshman this year. Will wanted to play cards or go for a walk or play some other kind of game that required him to match wits with his Aunt Jo or Aunt De. Saige and I crafted together, girl after my own heart.

How blessed......

There is nothing like going "home" for a visit. The first thing I wanted to do was take a walk. I walked to the river, through my Dad's alfalfa fields and back around to the driveway leading to my parents home. It's the same path I would take when I lived at home. I always had a dog or two with me or my bum lambs and maybe a cat or three. I never walked alone...

This trip was so needed and I so enjoyed my time with family. I'm so blessed to have a family as great as mine. I love coming back to Pendleton too, as I have so many great friends. I'm just one lucky gal.
The alfalfa was so beautiful, but Buddy didn't think so as he tried to walk through it with his short legs. This was toward the end of our walk and the poor little guy was getting pretty tired. We had to stop and rest a couple of times, which made for good photo opportunities.
Spike, my Mom and Dad's new puppy went with me every day, just to torment Buddy I'm sure. He went twice as far because be ran back and forth between Buddy and I. On this particular day we couldn't get him to hold still for a picture until we put him on top of a round hay bale. Then he sat there wondering how he was going to get down. Will climbed up there to just to make sure Spike didn't take a flying leap off the bale.
It's easy to get a picture when the dogs are getting tired. Believe me, it wasn't easy getting any cooperation out of the puppy. On this particular day, it was a little windy and cloudy, but still made for some beautiful pictures of fall.
This road leads into my Mom and Dad's place. Off to the far left you can see the shop, which in is in the yard behind their house. I remember all the times my sister Shawna and I would walk this road, whether it was after school or during the summer when we walked all over the place playing.

79 days

Well I almost talked myself out of going to Weight Watchers to weigh-in, but I'm glad I went, I lost 4 pounds this week. I'm leaving on Saturday to go to Montana. I think last night's Biggest Loser show was just for me. They all went on vacation (OK Jamaica is quite a bit different compared to Zurich, Montana) and still lost weight. So, while I'll have the temptations of my mother's cooking - I will also have my days free to go for walks or even ride the exercise bike in my Mom and Dad's basement. Don't worry, I'm not letting myself of the hook. I will be posting to this blog after weigh-in next week. Yup - I'm going to find the nearest WW meeting and weigh-in.

So, I hope the rest of the "Biggest Loser" groupies are doing well. I haven't heard from some of you to know whether your healthier eating habits are paying off!!!

Until next time......

Onward and forward.....

Well I did it, I weighed in. Essentially I lost nothing. According to the 'ol scale I GAINED .2 (2/10 of a pound).
I'm not discouraged. I just know that now I have to do a little more this week to reap some benefit.
Thought this picture was kinda cute and no it is not symbolic in any way, shape or form!!!!

88 days until...........

It's weigh-in day girls. So a small group of us have committed to losing weight, getting smaller or just plain practicing healthy eating habits. My personal short term goal.... I want to lose 10% of ME before I turn 40!!!! I have 88 days left and after work tonight we will see how much closer I am to my goal. I had a tough week to try to stick to my weight watchers plan, but I think I did alright. Guess we'll know sooner rather than later.. tick tock.. 5:00 pm is approaching quickly!

Tune in later for the results of today's weigh-in and then don't forget to watch the "Biggest Loser". Reality TV, I love it.
